IMPORTANT INFORMATION - FLU SESSIONS
A flu session for children aged 2 and 3 was held at Fyfe Park Clinic on the 31st October. All children due this vaccine will have received a letter. If you did not manage this date, please telephone the surgery to organise.
We would like to thank the many people who attended the flu sessions organised for Saturdays mornings and the subsequent two evening sessions. We have now immunised over 1200 patients. However, there are still many patients who qualify for immunisation and we would encourage you to attend. A reminder of the conditions that qualify you for immunisation are:
65 years old or over, have respiratory disease requiring steroids, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, chronic neurological disease, diabetes, immunosuppressed due to illness or medication, household members of those who are immunosuppressed or pregnant.
We have opened extra appointments for flu immunisations during the day on Wednesday the 11th December. Please telephone or ask reception staff for an appointment.
NOTE: You will be required to remain in the surgery for at least 10 minutes following vaccination in case you develop a reaction.
IF YOU REALLY DO NOT WANT A FLU IMMUNISATION PLEASE LET RECEPTION KNOW. THIS WILL IN NO WAY AFFECT YOUR FUTURE CARE AND YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR MIND AT ANYTIME.
The nursing staff are extremely busy and we do not have the capacity to use treatment room appointments for routine immunisations. The more appointments we have during treatment room time, the more we have to review services and make cuts backs which will be detrimental to the provision of other services eg cytology, travel immunisations etc. Please, therefore help us by attending the flu sessions that we arrange.
We’ve packed our website full of useful information in a very easy to use format with the added benefit of several online functions. If you’re new to the area, have a look at our opening times, download a registration form and come and see us.

Can We Help You?
Wheelchair access is available at the rear of the building.
A loop system for people with a hearing difficulty is fitted in some areas of the building - do let us know if you want to use it.
Language Line is available to patients who are not fluent in the English language.
Equipment - Over the years we have had numerous donations to the Community Donations Account and thank everyone for their generousity. This money is used to purchase equipment to help with patient care and sometimes this means that patients do not have to go to hospital as can be treated at home. If you have been given a piece of equipment it is planned that this loan is for a limited period of time eg nebuliser or Omron BP machine. PLEASE RETURN THESE PIECES OF EQUIPMENT TO THE SURGERY AS SOON AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. We always have patients waiting to use these items and to keep them for a prolonged length of time means that treatment is being delayed for others. Unreturned items will be invoiced to the patient.
All telephone calls to and from the surgery are recorded and may be used to investigate complaints or legal issues, or for inhouse training purposes.
